Direct Hardware I/O Port for USB 2.0 Device Interface

Lecroy USB analyzer produced graph showing 78% USB high speed bus utilization with the Direct Hardware I/O Port.
By adding the Direct Hardware I/O port to the Vreelin USB 2.0 device interface, a designer is able to dynamically redirect USB packet payload for an endpoint from the dual port RAM ping pong buffers to a dedicated hardware port. The hardware port allows a designer to provide hardware specific payload processing at USB 2.0 high speed data rates.
In testing, sustained USB 2.0 transfers of 44 megabytes a second were observed using a Ring 3 test application on the PC; the Vreelin supplied Windows device driver; the standard Vreelin USB 2.0 device core with HWIF option; standard Vreelin firmware; and "wrap" test hardware for 2 endpoints.
Cost of the Direct Hardware I/O port will depend on the designer's application. Please contact salesATvreelin.com for more information. |
